Status Update 5/24/21

It has been YEARS since I have done anything on here. Kinda debating whether I should just shutdown this account. I still have ideas to write about but I'm not sure if DeviantArt is really the best place to showcase them. I've been really busy with college and abandoned this account as a result. Forgot I even had it until a couple of days ago.

Sorry I haven't posted for a while. I've been pretty busy with college and other projects. I've decided to change some of the names of my characters because I want to take this more seriously and would love for people to actually see my stuff through different means than just DeviantArt.
Perhaps the biggest change is that ZAPMAN is no longer ZAPMAN. He's Omnibolt now, and he's relocated to an actual city (Jupiter Florida) He's also been flung into modern day instead of just staying in 2016. I figured it's time to move on and rather than have his stories set in a self-contained universe, I want appearences from other heroes more often, maybe even stand-alone stories that feature other heroes a la Freakazoid. Of course, Villain Spotlights would be pretty cool.
I like posting here, but I don't know if I'm going to do it on a regular basis as college might interfere or what have you. Rest assured, more stories will be coming.

ZAPMAN Update

ZAPMAN actually isn't open source guys, at least not officially. I had the wrong idea as to what open source was and as for right now would just like to do my own thing with my characters. I don't mind help, I'm all for help, but I want to be able to keep my characters.
One of my dreams is for people to come together and help others that are having difficulty writing a certain character or having writer's block and helping them get through it via working together as a team. This might be an impossible dream, but I'll hold out hope.
To be honest, I don't think open source is really what I was looking for as I'm totally fine with people including my characters in other stories just so long as I get credit and am notified/ have direct involving in helping with the story line.
Really I'd just like to be included in a comic versa where people can give their input without necessarily taking the character away from the creator so that the creator, with help from the community can create better more dynamic stories that the creator on their own probably would have never thought of.
If you'd want to be a part of that, let me know.

The In-Betweens

Hey hey hey
Sorry for the hiatus but I'm going to try something different with something I'd like to call the In-Betweens where it can either focus on ZAPMAN teaming up with another hero (or villain) two separate heroes teaming up together or even a look at the day in the life of a certain villain and their perspective of the world. I kind of want to move away from doing just ZAPMAN so I'm going to try my hand at some new stuff. I've got an idea for this guy called "THE SILVER SPOOK" basically a riff on those old 30s and 40s pulp noir heroes like The Shadow, The Phantom Doc Savage Mr. Monster.... you know the drill. Anyway I was wondering if you guys want me to start a new document for my new stuff or if you want me to just add onto my The Phenomenal ZAPMAN document and do it as part of the In-Betweens. Let me know in the comments.

Creative Commons

I know, I know, I don't own the name ZAPMAN... but I can still use it. My ultimate goal is to make him into a creative commons character that way I can still keep ZAPMAN/ Mark Numera but allow others to use him with my blessing. It means that he's still my character but everyone is able to use him. Just when you do send me a note or something I want to see what you have so I can give my two-cents. I don't know how to do this to this but let's just say that he is and be done with it. (If anyone really does know how to create a CC character or you have any ideas for ZAPMAN.. lemme know in the comments.)
